SCALE OF US — PRESS COPY TITLE The Boy Who Tried to Catch the Wind ONE LINE A story about a boy, a machine, and the part of us no answer can hold. SHORT DESCRIPTION When a school card describes a boy correctly but incompletely, he brings his question to a machine that knows everything anyone has written down. His search takes him from descriptions to lived experience—and back to the wind he has always tried to catch. LONG DESCRIPTION The Boy Who Tried to Catch the Wind is an illustrated philosophical fable for children and adults that explores what it means to be human in the age of AI. A boy receives a card at school. Every word on it is true, but he knows something is missing. He asks a machine that can answer any question, then follows its instructions through a stonecutter, a potter, a waiting girl, a hall of mirrors, and a climb up a mountain. The story can be read as a child’s journey and as an invitation to ask what can be described, what can be known, and what must be lived. The story is available as free English and Spanish online readings with optional synchronized synthetic narration and animated hand-drawn illustrations. A small, limited batch of signed English clothbound copies is forthcoming after delivery, inspection, and public release are confirmed.
