About Scale of Us
We are learning to live with each other. We’re learning to live with AI. We need stories that help us find our bearings: who we are, what matters to us, and how we live together.
Scale of Us is a publishing house built around those questions. We bring ideas from thinkers and philosophers1 across time into illustrated stories anyone can read.
For us, scale means gaining perspective. A boy’s question to a machine can become a question about your own life. Each reading is a chance to see it differently.
Scale of Us was created by Hector Ouilhet Olmos, the writer, illustrator, and designer of its first story and the author of both its English and Spanish versions.
